Ugh...no mice here thank God!! Years ago, two ended up in my house - it was very traumatic!!!!

Oh how awful! Mice are bad enough but they attract......gulp.....snakes! I am very afraid of snakes, can you tell? I saw a very large rat snake the other day in my backyard. He was very near my foot and didn't appreciate me being in his way. I shook before running away like a track star, but I did thank him for his service lol!

Tell your cat great job, Mike! I live in the middle of a field, so critters are inevitable. Since I grew up on a farm, you would think I would handle it better. Nope!! At least you don't have to contend with armadillos!

My parents have had skunks and possums. I hope I dont get any where I am at, but if they go after my trees it will be war. ;)

I think I would rather deal with the snake than the mouse!! My horror story (that still haunts me to this day even though it occurred nearly 18 years ago - the last and only time we have had a mouse in the house) is as follows...I was peacefully sleeping at night with an arm over my head when I felt something tickling my arm near my head...I screamed and flung my arm to see a mouse flying across the room!! UGH...it still freaks me out! Needless to say, my ban on cats on the bed was lifted until we got rid of that little sucker ;-)

One time my husband (not being from Texas and not being worried about snakes in his shoes) tried to put his shoe on in the closet, but felt some resistance. He stuck his hand in the shoe and came out with a mouse in his hand! Ew!!! He stuck it back in the shoe and then banged the shoe against the wall hard for about ten minutes lol. Then we went shoe shopping.

Needless to say, he now takes a proper look into his shoes before putting them on.

Lol Jennifer!!! It's a good lesson to learn...I have a similar experience that involves a large cockroach, bare toes, and sneakers....many years ago in Miami. Like your husband, I always check my shoes before inserting my feet ;-)
