No, you can ignore the aerial roots.

They're really there to help the plant climb. If it were on another plant, like a tree, it'd use those roots to climb up towards the light.

When you're ready to propagate, you'd cut tips of branches, w/ a pair of leaves or 2. Then pots those up small, in a well draining mix.
