Noooo! I just took a look at the lily bulbs I bought at a local fundraising sale. Some were packed in vermiculite, some in peat moss, some in wood shavings (as came from the vendor). I had put them aside in the cool garage until I had a chance to plant them.

The ones in vermiculite show mold. Mostly on the roots and no longer are as totally firm as they should be. Unfortunately these were the most expensive, all trumpets or Orienpets. Everything in peat moss or wood shavings is fine.

I unpacked the affected ones to let them dry out a bit.

Are these savable? Should I plant them immediately? Do something to kill the mold first? Thanks for your help.
