I just purchased a beautiful King Protea, and it's potted in a terrible, moisture-retentive soil. I want to remove all of the junk soil and pot it in gritty mix, but after doing some reading, it seems that the roots don't like to be disturbed. How can I go about repotting it without harming the plant? I just can't see it thriving in its current mix. Thanks!
