The pigment was simply Black Oxide.

Different manufacturers pigments will vary.

The concrete mix design has a huge impact as well. A simple bag mix from a hardware store will be a low psi, less dense, more porous. The color would turn out lighter. The better the mix, the darker the color. The concrete mix in the photo is about 15,000 psi and only used 1.5% of the Black Oxide pigment that we source to reach this color.

That being said, the sealer you use also plays a large part. This particular sealer color enhances more than most.

If you are planning a DIY project, make sure you do some test casting before attempting the finished piece(s). If you are hiring a fabricator, they should know how to source and mix pigments already.
