I'm glad your citrus are doing so well inside. It's a bit of a stressful transition, isn't it? I don't know about you, but this will be my first winter as a citrus mama.

My Bearss lime and Cara Cara don't appear to have noticed they're inside, but the Meyers is angry. =( I'm a fool and I didn't make an appropriately gradual transition.

It's lost a few leaves and looks sad in general.

I'll post pictures tomorrow as well. I can't wait to see yours!

My cara cara that hasn't done anything at all for a year finally did something - it dropped half its leaves! The pink variegated lemon also dropped a bunch of leaves. My small calamondins showed yellow vein chlorosis. All of the above was due to lack of acclimatization to indoor conditions prior to moving them indoors. The remaining 20 plus trees are doing fine. Meyer, NZ lemonade, large calamondin, seedless kishu are putting out blossoms. All of the above have been in the greenhouse for 11 days.

My indoor 3 inch clementine seedlings have clusters of about 20 1/64 inch diameter holes. I have no clue what caused these. My indoor flying dragon had scale. The three 7 inch calamondin seedlings, 2 flying dragon cuttings, Meyer lemon seedling and myrtle leaf are all fine.

Sprayed all of the above with neem plus Safer's insecticidal soap and gave them soil soap with same.

I brought half of my orange trees inside today, the rest will go tomorrow. Last year my brother in law kept his kumquat out all year here, he just rolled it in the garage at night, put it out at day. It did so great. I may try that with my Mandarinquat. My lemon and lime went in a week or too ago, no leaf drop yet.

I wasn't able to properly acclimate all my trees so definitely lost leaves as a result. My big concern is my soil not drying out. I brought everything back out over 2 weeks ago when it was raining and all the ones in 511 aren't drying out. They're all under lights so I don't get it. I'm away for the weekend so will try to post pics on Monday. If anyone has suggestions, I would certainly appreciate them!

Laura, no doubt your trees continued to do well as your windows are huge and the light in that room is great! Can you please post a pic of your tiny variegated pink lemon? I think they are so pretty. One of my husband's coworkers moved, so we no longer have access to the old house he was renting in a gated community (we used to go for bbqs), but the homeowners had a variegated Eureka that I was in love with.

My angry Meyer in the middle and the lime on its right. I think the Meyer is starting to adjust. It's stopped losing leaves and is pushing out two little blossoms! It's still holding on to its four fruit, phew.

It's cloudy here, but the weather is still very warm (76F), so I've left my Moro outside. The other trees are in the greenhouse, and I'm seeing a lot of growth! My kumquat, avocado, Pomelo, and variegated pink lemons (all three) are growing nicely. The largest pink lemon is putting out that vivid pink growth, along with lots of those pink purple flowers!!!

I just fertilized everything about an hour ago. A little over full strength Foliage Pro.

Hey everyone..Glad to see your trees are all doing ok and better than that!! It's still early in the season so watch very closely for mites by the middle of December and don't get complacent...

Mines are all doing great too..

The ones on the porch have yet to get direct sun! The trees are about to loose their leaves so that the sun can shine through and I can't wait for that. I have been keeping the temps quite cool on there and every tree is still green and has yet to drop a leaf. The fruit are still ripening and the blossoms are starting to show up.

The ones in the greenhouse are being fertilized lightly and they are doing so good. No need to explain there.lol

The ones in my room upstairs in the window sill? perfect and have yet to be fertilized..

The ones in the spare 4 season room? Nothing at all...It's bee too cloudy for the flowers on my Ponderosa to open, so they are opening prematurely but doing ok. The ones on the cold window sill have yet to get sun from the trees..No leaf loss but no growth either..

All still green alive and less than very happy but ok..

Jem, those lemons look great! They will be yellow before you know it! Vladimir, I'm sorry you have one with scale...and about the cara cara....the others seem happy in that great greenhouse of yours! Mary, I am sorry your trees are having a tough time. Do you have any extra lights to help them out? I have found the lights I have to be doing a reasonable job. Figs...the lemon on my tree is tiny, so I hope it will not drop it. I took a few pics now although I had no time during the day except for a couple. Josh....I would like to know more about your greenhouse...how hard was it to assemble? I looked them up and there is an 8x16 of the same style that I kind of like. I was a photographer in my former "life" and although I do not look for jobs anymore, I just agreed to do a job for great client I had. I am hoping that job will pay for my greenhouse...fingers crossed. Here are my pics...

Watering is a bit of a challenge...but hey, at least they seem happy. I did fertilize them with 1/2 tsp FP and 1/2 tsp pro-tekt plus vinegar yesterday. I figured since they are growing, they need some nutrition.

The greenhouse was a bit tricky to assemble, I must say, since there aren't any worded directions, just pictures/diagrams. And it required some brute force to make some of the snap together connections. I used a deadblow mallet to force things together. I'd rate it a medium difficulty assembly.

LAURA! Oh my goodness, it is beautiful in there!!! I do see the tiny variegated lemon, thank you for posting it. It is so cute; I really hope it stays put. Sigh, how wonderful that you sit and read in there. I would set up a reclining chair and a little table next to it for my coffee. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you regarding your greenhouse. You MUST get one large enough so that you can have your reading space in there!

My citrus are still in the greenhouse, with the shortening days up here in the north I think that will take care of having to lower the light myself before they come indoors. The fall is lovely and in a normal year all would be in the house but the extra light will be good for them.

My meyer lemon has a few fruit, my cocktail grapfruit has two, and my variegated pink lemon is just starting to blossom. Don't they smell great when they do? I lost my cara cara, when it came in the mail and I took it out of the pot the whole bottom half of the rootball was a rotten mess, it never recovered. The Owari Satsum that I chopped on Laura's advice is growing wonderfully, so good that I chopped my persian lime and it too is now sprouting.

My New Zealand lemonade is the only tree inside and it is the only tree with flowers. 5 trees are in ground outside. I am going to let both Cuban Shaddock trees die in cold weather.

Laura, I have not tried them yet. These are my first harvest from this tree. I will zest/juice them tomorrow and update. Size-they are about same as full grown meyer lemon.

My NZ lemonade has loads of blossom budss and one fruit that is starting to turn. Blossom buds also on huge Meyer lemon and open blossoms on huge calamondin.

No pests, so far, in the greenhouse.

Looks like trees are dropping fewer leaves now that they are in the GH.

GH temp is 60 F except for a few hours during the day when the sun warms it to about 85 F.

Harvested my first (single) Meyer lemon. I am leaving it up to my wife as to what to do with it, although I do want a taste of it.

Here are pictures of villafranca lemon with a quarter to compare size, and cut surface of the fruit. It suprised me that it has a bit of sweet, but it is very good!

Laura, where is the recipe? My wife made some lime butter and calamondin butter by mixing the citrus in with softened butter. It is quite tasty.

Oh sorry Vladimir...I got my threads confused. I posted a link in the thread from yesterday about the ponderosa lemon pie.

I brought my satsuma inside for the night only, and a lizard must have hitched a ride on it. Took 30 minutes to get him/her/it back outside. I have often seen the lizard laying on the leaves when watering the tree. I should have inspected the tree better before carrying it in.

My two babies are still outside. Our weather is still decent here, it's in the mid-60s at night.

Giving them FP, leaves have some yellowing.. hopefully they're going to bounce back.
