Need help with the design

I have this training tree for around 3 years but still it doesn't look very great.This tree is healthy and collected as a yamodori.have a strong root structure.but i am struggling with the brunch placement.If any one can help to improve this tree i will be greatfull.

I'm no bonsai expert whatsoever, though I very much like the species that you have selected and believe it has very good potential. Have you yet worked on it further, it looks great so far!

http://www.bonsai4me.com/AdvTech/ATCreating%20Deadwood.htmlI would not do pads, but would open up space with jin, deadwood always adds to the illusion of age. It looks like you have some of that next to the main trunk, but it needs some carving to look more natural. The Dremel and a sharp carving knife are your friends.
