Just beautiful Tiffany. Saw this on other site. Noticed that these bloom stocks are in the terminal of the rosette. Meaning of course they stop leaf production. Some Sans product their bloom stocks from roots or side (between) leaves and not terminal buds. Very good examples. Don't have any myself so far. Love the sweet smell your about to enjoy.

I was checking mine out and was surprised to find our little friend, Sassy, hanging out. Sassy is a snake, so I stopped poking around in there.

Last weekend it was time to pot up these plants and I didn't have a wide, shallow pot like I wanted. I was cleaning up a little in the kitchen while thinking about potting plants and noticed this pan was shedding its' non-stick coating and was no longer suitable for food. I was heading toward the dumpster with it and DH said why don't I poke some holes and you can put a plant in it?

Ends up being the perfect pot for these, only about 3" deep!

They are outside, until Thursday, according to current forecast, so hopefully a bee or moth will do their thing. It sounds like you would want them. If anything develops, please remind me that they are yours!

Thank you for the kind offer, but I probably don't have the space or time to grow them right now, just thought it would be fun! Somebody here may want them though!! I have a S. masoniana apparently sending up a flower stalk right now!

Jennifer, Thank you for the generous offer. Postage may be more than what I can purchase them in spring at Wal-Marts. I used to see them for $1.99 for a six pack but lately they sell them apiece for $1.99 for one in a 3 inch pot. In summer they are fast growers and start easily from cuttings. Shame to leave winter kill them just when they start to look their best. I don't know what is the lowest temps they can take? I used to buy the extra large leaf varieties but didn't seem to grow as nice as the smaller ones and really love those fancy colorful ones Tiffany showed.

Most of my coleus (coleui? LOL) are in my greenhouse, but I did have a rougue one start growing outside my fence. It's been doing fine, but we only had temps drop into the thirties a couple of times, and even then it wasn't but maybe for an hour. Most of our day time temps are in the high sixties and sometimes even eighties. This week, it is supposed to dip down to 29!!! I'm freaking out a bit. Frost cloth will be going down!

My sans are not looking as nice as Tiffany's because they have been neglected all this time on the back patio. I think they're doing ok, considering.

Funny, most of my successes have been with totally ignoring my plants. Checking on some in several months and surprised to see they are thriving. The ones I fussed over, rotted or got bugs. Go figure.

I just spray painted a big coffee can because I'm running out pots! Oh and just picked a very old tin strainer...not your typical one tho...only holes are on the bottom. it's like a 4" deep pie pan shape. @ my Goodies.

TYVM, Debra! There are a lot of bloom pics on this forum if you go browsing through the discussions. I'm sure you will see one on your plants too! The strainer thing sounds awesome. I keep forgetting to look for those in the thrift stores. They are ideal pots!! Easy shape to remove plants later, and in particular for Sans, the shape also helps prevent pups from getting turned down instead of up. And, of course, the lots-of-holes thing, bonus!
