Much will depend on how much you are wanting to spend and the space (based on plants) you will want it to cover.

Many use Grow Lights here. High Out-Put T5 Florescents to LED lights.

I use HO T5 Florescents. I have had these for along time (Bulbs been replaced over time) so I have not tried anything else. I have a 4' light fixture w 6 T5 HO Bulbs in it (about 18" wide approx.). I have it at approx. 3" - 4" away from top of canopy of plants and it is on 10hrs. everyday. Usually from Nov. - Mar.. They are in an area which receives South sunlight through out the winter. Good light, just not as intense this time of year. I keep the ambient temperature in the room at about 70F - 75F. Not to difficult with sunlight coming through windows.

The Hydro costs of running them as I do are very low. This was one factor for myself as to whether I would use them.

Tracy, Martin and Jedoba, I believe use LED lights and many others. Hopefully they will chime in.

The one good way to research this topic on lights. At the top of the Adenium Forum page, there is a window to Search. Type in your interest. LED Lights and it will show "LED lights in Adeniums" Click on this and numerous threads will come up and try anything you want this way.

I got Mars Hydro 300 (80$ on Amazon) and my seedlings love it! Big difference in growth comparing with last year growth. It only covers 2sq ft though, I wish coverage would be bigger. And remember, you have to provide warmth too. :)

I recently got the Mars Hydro 600, put it too close to my seedlings, and burned some leaves off.. it's now 3-4 feet away.

I also have some smaller 12 in square lights that are 45w. Those can almost touch the plants, and won't burn, but not bright enough for a lot of plants.

This is an older thread but thought I'd post my first experience with grow lights. I've been using a T5 light - only 24w for a couple of months and I'm very impressed with the results so far.

I sowed 2 trays, put them right next to each other. One with the grow light, and one without. The ones with the grow light are double the size. I'll check the Mars Hydro 600.

Great looking seedling, Stephane. Can see the difference and they all are doing so well.
