Before freeze

I cut these this evening, lots of buds. Tonight is suppose to dip to 30. A freeze warning has been issued. Would love to see your end-of-season cut before freeze roses, too.

The above has some Sunny Sunday's and Gold Medal's center and left. Babies Blush buds are to the right.

Mini's above with a short stem Red Intuition on left. Big center red is Tammy Clemons.

The big oranges in front are Artistry and deep purply pinks to the right are Buxom Beauty (Parole).

The small pinks in front are Joy, big pinks to left are Beverly, big med. pink center is Rose', lots of red to right are mostly Veteran's Honor, and most of yellows in back are Mohana. Best/most late fall roses ever from my garden!

Ok, Kentucky, we're supposed to be getting our first freeze tonight so I plucked the last of the blooms from my garden. A sad bunch compared to yours, but enjoyable, still. My goal is to have the gorgeous bouquets that you have. :-)

Two Granadas, two Sunset Celebrations, Candice (pale pink), NOID Red and a Pink Peace. I have been very pleased with all of these. Candice is so pretty!

More Icebergs. Love white with purple.

Those are something, Kentucky! My Buxom Beauty bushes struggle to put out a few blooms every season those look amazing! Artistry and Gold Medal look lovely too! We haven't had a freeze yet, and I have quite a few that aren't quite ready to cut, hopefully I can cut them soon! I think it's about 35 here this morning, but it's supposed to be warmer than that the next few mornings with lows in the 40's and highs in 70's.

Sara-Ann, thanks. I just checked the temp, it is 27. I am glad that I cut them.

What a shame you had to cut them, but we are lucky, to see those lovely buds and blooms. Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow! Just gorgeous! Our first freeze is expected tomorrow night. Like you Kentucky, I'll head out to cut the few remaining blooms/buds. I wish I had as many as you!

Towandaaz, those blooms are so pretty and huge. It is best to enjoy them indoors than for the frost to turn them brown. Purple and white is a very nice combination!

Nice looking blooms, towandaaz.

We're supposed to have a freeze Saturday morning, and tomorrow is supposed to be cool, so I don't think many more, if any roses will open. Here's a "mess" of blooms I cut today. Sunsprite. Easy Does It, Aloha, Belinda's Dream, Pink Peace, Rina Hugo, Firefighter, OLOG, Twilight Zone, Big Momma, and Liebeszauber are included.

Somewhat disappointed, my Pope John Paul II has about four plump buds on it, and was so hoping they would have time to open! Oh well, I'll look forward to 2017! I still have a bunch of buds on several of my bushes, plus fully open blooms.

How nice Sara-Ann!! So pretty! I'm experimenting tonight... I put plastic bags on a few canes with blooms to protect them from the cold... don't know if that will help... Yes, i'm the crazy rose lady...

Towandaaz, I have done it before and it works. Be sure and take them off early.
