We actually converted the Odda bed, one single and one underbed putting in a internal ladder and used the single bed as the top bunk and the underbed as a trunk bed with a middle play area. Added wooden handles. wooden shelving painted Red to match internal play area. Accessorised with fur cushioning and also bought Ikea step stool, painted Red to access ladders

Hi Carine, Do you think something similar can be done with the kura bed. I can't seem to find the oda bed in New York. Also, what are the drawers? (complement perhaps?)

I'm sure you could if you employ a creative carpenter, the drawers are actually part of the trunk bed, therefore pull out and you have another single bed.
