I think if the pods were thoroughly dry (crispy dry) on the vine before the freeze and there is no sign of rot they should be ok. The reason I say this I have collected pods I've missed in the spring that have gone through a winter of rain and freezing temps, when shelled the seed was in perfect condition and had good germination when planted. If there are signs of rot or fungus on the pods I wouldn't bother trying to save them.

Thank you aftermidnight and petalique. My memory is so bad. I came here to ask this very same question and found that I asked it just a couple weeks ago! Sorry I forgot about it. I will save some of these seeds and see how they do. Thanks again!

No apology needed. It happens. You can always test a few in paper towels in early spring. If no germination, you'll have time to order some.
