Happens here late in season near Chicago , leaves yellow and with humid cool or cold nights along with rain before leaves drop they get black spotting .

Next season when they leaf out and until cold fall sets in the leaves are normal.

I live in GA. The days & nights are humid but no rain this year. I take it then that this is normal for the leaves to have black spots. Thank you for your ans. Elsie

Sometimes it will happen earlier in the year and the leaves will fall off and then put new leaves on. This late in the year it is completely normal. If it happens earlier in the year the plants will look ragged but not much you can do about it. As long as they get good moisture they are pretty maintenance free.
