Can you tell us more? Did you just bring the tree indoors? Where is it placed? How much light does it get? What medium is it planted in? Pics are always nice too ;-)

A most common occurrence when you significantly alter the light conditions of a Meyer. There are other common causes, such as over-watering; or letting it get too dry and then watering. Please post a picture or two, tell us where you live, if the tree is in a container or in ground, how you are caring for it, what type of rootstock is it on, if you know, etc. With that you can get a better answer.

Vladimir, that's a great explanation. I have never had much leaf drop in the winters - even with Meyers...I guess I've been lucky.

If you change the light gradually, over time from full sun to partial shade; then to full shade, then to inside, the problem should be less. Reverse that in the Spring when you put them outside.

Great article on WLD Vladmimir. One month of being inside and leaves are dropping off both my trees at the rate of a 1-2 each day for the last week.

The trees are in a south facing window (gray and rainy Portland skies) and have supplemental lighting. Planted in a loose soil mixture, though not the 511.

Daytime ambient temp is 64*, soil temp 64*, 54% humidity.

If I read the article correctly since I can't lower the room temperature I should set the pots on warming mats and warm up the roots a bit??
