Fredclarkeara (Catasetum x Clowesia x Mormodes) are the genera involved. I have no idea what this does to the winter rest, but i am interested because a friend purchased one of these (a mericlone) at a show for $75Au. That is a lot of money to pay for an orchid where little cultivation knowledge is available here.

Sheila, your seedling has a registered name of Fredclarkara After Hours. Maybe you can find a pic. to give you an idea of what the blooms will look like.

The plant cross Fredclarkeara just goes to show that there is no EGO in the orchid world....hahaha .... I have grown enough catasetum family plants to go by the "do no harm" rule first... If that is a current picture and plant is still growing... let it finish growing, keep it bright and warm. I have come to realize that these plants really benefit from "benign neglect".... keep an eye on it but do not feel like you have to micro manage their entire existence....If the roots are packed with sphagnum, you should be able to just lift the plant out of the pot and look at the roots for any issues....
