What a gorgeous rose! I noticed RR at the International Test Gardens in Portland. Really beautiful, but I haven't purchased it because it seemed like a stingy bloomer. Is this true for you?

My RRs are not stingy at all, but they are highly susceptible to all sorts of fungal diseases, unfortunately. Still one of my favorites, I love the flowers and the fragrance.

I wanted to buy this one as soon as I learned of it. Gorgeous.

Hi irisgal, to my eyes it stays ruby red, unlike Munsteadwood that darkens with age. The petal texture of RR is also more like a satin, where as MW is velvety.

It's nice to see this rose so well somewhere. It does not seem to like the SF bay area.
