Are all mule eared slow to open? I hope the open flower lasts at least as long as it took to open...Beautiful flower.

So very pretty! I won a plant in our last month's raffle, labelled as Onc Ollie Palmer. Thru Google I found the trichocentrum name. I hope mine will bloom as nicely as your has for you.

I am not sure about other mule ears because this is my first one to bloom. I brought mine in for the last orchid society meeting and another member brought his also. The first thing he said was "Did yours take forever to bloom?" Another grower told us the flowers last just as long. I hope so.

Shelia you are going to enjoy this one! it is no where near fussy to grow .

I had one as a beginner. I did good for a while until it needed to be repotted. It never got repotted and died. But I think I know a little more about orchids now so I may look for one at our March show.
