Thank-you for your question. There is 43" between the island and sink, 48" between the end of the island and the cooktop, and about 6' between the island and fridge wall. The microwave angles in, so there is only 42" to the island at that point. The National Kitchen and Bath Association recommends at least 42" of walk space between an island and perimeter cabinetry and 48" at an area that may have two people working such as the cooking area and an island prep area. Those dimensions allow for easy movement and access to the kitchen work areas.
