Which Aurea stone looks more like a real soft marble? Lincoln or Paragon? I need to decide! Please advise. I need the white background with a soft grey vein...that looks real....nothing too busy as that it is annoying.

@Angela M what is the tile you used for your backsplash? We are doing our kitchen with Paragon counters and simply white cabinets as well and am wondering what to use for the backsplash. Yours looks beautiful!

@lbrenrose - we have paragon and did a similar look with white subway tiles done in a herringbone pattern - ours were 3x6, but looks like Angela M probably used 2x6 or 2x8s.

interested in this counter and the silestone eternal calcatta gold. Wondering how dark the lines are in this one? They seem to have dark gray/black in them which i dont think they want so i wanted to double check. I am doing black base cabinets, light colored wood floating shelves up top and brass/gold pulls.

Just had my aurea paragon installed I love to.

Wondering how they are working out? Last night I found a wine circle on our sample, it was there about 45 mins, it wiped up, but left a very faint stain... then cleaned up with an organic countertop cleaner. Viola its gone.

anyone have any bad experiences?

Did you try bar keepers friend. So far anything that I got on came off with that. I have not gotten wine on it. I love the way it looks. Let me know if that works.

We had our paragon stone installed today. It is beautiful, however, we encountered an issue. We had to get two slabs for our island and one slab is a whole shade darker than the other slab. We were told it came from the same batch and that it could be extra moisture that needs to be aired out. They advised we wait a few days to see if the color changes (I highly doubt it will). Has anyone experienced this? Thanks!

Are you sure it came from the same dye lot? The color changes by dye lot. I had a problem and had to wait a whole month till they were able to get my same dye lot from Italy to match the other pieces in my kitchen.

They claim it’s from the exact same batch but I have my doubts. It’s a completely different shade.

I had them show me both lot numbers on the slabs to make sure they matched. Each dye lot has a number on the slabs.

I asked the fabricator show me the numbers were the same. If it came from the same lot there is no way it would not match. You cannot keep a counter/island two different shades.

Our cabinets are Benjamin Moore‘s Simply White and the countertops are Aurea’s DIVINE. And it is DIVINE! LOVE IT! I was worried the Simply White would be too yellow/off—white for the Divine, but it’s just perfect!

Did anyone use white dove with paragon Aires?

On the perimeter of my kitchen I have Medallion cabinets in ‘white icing’, which is basically BM white dove in color. On those cabinet countertops we used Silestone in Charcoal Soapstone.
The island is a distressed peppercorn color and I chose Aurea Stone, Paragon for the island countertop.
I feel like the island countertop was a bad choice. It is way whiter than I anticipated and my perimeter cabinets look cream in comparison. Prior to doing the island, my perimeter cabinets looked REALLY WHITE!!
I did take samples of the doors to the quartz supplier to see how they looked together prior to purchasing. The lighting looked different in every store. The Paragon slab is beautiful, but beware, it is VERY white. Like contemporary white.
If I had to do it all over, I would have installed real marble like I wanted. Bummed.

Hi, I know this is an old three but I’m just about to purchase the Paragon and wondering if anyone who has it finds that it’s super subtle- almost like mostly white with really really subtle grey veins in real life? It’s so hard to tell in photos I find they all seem to look almost completely white and it’s hard to see any veining at all? I’m in love with the quartz, just want more of the “marbling” as opposed to blank white space if you know what I mean?! I love the look of a beautiful grey Carrara vein.. Also considering sfumato because it seems a lot less subtle but I do love some of the longer veining which it doesn’t have... If anyone has close up photos I’d love to see! Hoping it’s just the brightness of the photos that blows the detail out a bit.. I’m in Australia and Aurea has just hit our market... we don’t have as much choice as the US so I was really excited to find it!

@Sarah W, it’s very subtle and mostly reads as white unless close up. I’ve attached photos from my kitchen.

@kbrookie thanks for that! Is there another quartz you could compare it to in terms of subtlety- maybe Caesarstone frosty Carrina? (Although very different I know, but I find that suuuuuper subtle) Any problems with staining or chipping? So hard to find any info! Appreciate any insight, still waiting to see if I can see a slab soon :-)

@SarahW, no problem. My husband works in stone and he said frosty carrina may be similar but paragon almost has longer skinnier veins with more white overall. No chipping issues but it does stain from flower petals and ash from candle - all stains have removed super easily with Barkeepers Friend product (buy it!)

I have paragon for a year and I still love it. It’s just the right amount of veining and a bright white. I think it resembles marble more than any quartz I’ve seen.

I agree. I have had my paragon for a year and a few months and it is perfect. No stains and super easy to keep clean. Love it!

So had paragon installed... definitely not that white. Very grey in my kitchen for some reason... almost throws blue. Looks quite dark against the perimeter cabinets (maybe because there’s no window?). I did check with against my cabinet colour (white) but I guess until it’s installed in a slab you never know. I wanted white subway backsplash but I think that makes it look even darker/greyer so back to the drawing board with that. Kind of wishing I had gone with my second choice (misterio) but you live and you learn!

Here’s a photo.. definitely doesn’t look white.. it’s a little better on the island, probably as there’s more light but still having regrets, I don’t think a slight change in cabinet colour would’ve made enough of a difference ?

Mine does not look very gray though just not as white as my cool white cabinets. Maybe it’s your dye lot.
