Hi everyone, (or ya"ll as I should be saying now),

My name is Matthias, and about three months ago, my family was relocated back to the states to San Antonio, TX from Norfolk, England which is on the middle eastern side of the isle.

I was born in the US, and all my family are citizens, but at the age of two, my sister aged one, at the time, and my mother; essentially all of us, were relocated to Feltwell Air Force Base in Norfolk because of my Dad.

I am 25 years of age now, and was taking some classes in environmental studies at the Uni of E. Anglia in Norwich, Norfolk.

I am currently applying to Botany Undergraduate degree programs in Texas and New Mexico: A & M, Uni of NM @ Las Cruces.

I have applied to these so far.

My family knows I am very heartbroken about the move and have given me the option of applying to schools in NM, TX but no further.

Does anybody know the best schools for botany Undergrads even if they are on the states bordering Texas. Maybe I can convince them to get me closer to an environment that I was used to.

That would really help me out.

The other thing, is I missed all of my strolls in the countryside by where we used to live seeing Elder and Birch Trees in bloom, Bramble berries, or blackberries as they're called here, and beautiful Angelica and my favorite St John's Wort.

Now, I still want to be exposed to my old plants, but they don't exist in the wild here in Texas, or do they?

My research proves not; however I am so new and the landscape is a hard change.

I would really appreciate some nice words and welcomes because I am having a hard time right now. :(

PS. Also I wanted to make a garden does anyone know of many native English plants that would do well in San Antonio?
