Hi! With all the greenery around you, I would go with a warm neutral for the house color. A white or beige. It would go well with the brick and really let all the nature take the spotlight. If you're looking to go more colorful, a blue might look nice, but you'd have to be careful to match it with the brick.

I'm not a pro, so hopefully someone with a color wheel will hop on here, but BM Canvas looks like a nice color. It's pretty light, but has a little color to it. And I would do white or a dark brown trim depending on the feel you want. It doesn't look like you have a lot of trim.

Charlize - what color is the roof? Is that concrete S tile in a sort of purply/red clay look? Also, this setting looks rural. Is this a lake house or in a vacation spot? That can affect the end result. Right now, it appears that you have wood siding that has been stained - can you give us an up close photo of it so we can see the texture? That will impact the final result.

The red brick chimney is more terracotta - red orange, while the roof looks purple pink. That can affect what will look good here. You can build on the cottage elements here or head contemporary. I would not paint this house white given these elements - but I'm also not sure about your personal style. The carport is sort of modern / flat roofed and yet sided like the house . . so are the window styles - no fat trim around them and a great transom over casement thing happening around the chimney up front.

If we head more towards cottage colors . . you might want to add fat window trim but that is another expense. You might like to add planters with vines at the base of the front corners of your carport to add some cottage feel to that element of the house and string cable from side to side at top so the vines have something besides the structure to grow on. I would recommend you trim out the posts in the carport like posts at top and bottom, and paint this entire area in the trim color rather than in the main house color . .

You could do a soft camoflage sort of olive drab gray .. .something like bm spanish olive but on an exterior to get that shade you need to go deeper - like bm cheyenne green

If you add trim, then select a warm toned off white trim like bm light breeze. Put this on your fascia / around doors and windows, on the carport posts and headers fully. . . Outdoors, it will appear white but creamy . . tie in the existing white windows

Then, at your double front door - stay away from reds since it will clash with one of the reds on the house. You could try a denim blue kind of tone . . bm smokestack gray is a good one that will sort of echo the flash brick on the chimney.

I'm pretty sure this is S tile - and in the first photo with natural light falling across it, I think we see the purply red concrete tile I thought it was. The extra elevations help a lot too so we can see that you need a railing color and a block / foundation color. If you do have a gray roof - the colors below are not right. I see you do have dark gray pathway to the front door . . is there anything else dark gray happening around the house?

Now that I see your brick up close, it feels more pink with some taupe/grayed brown in it. Since the house windows have some traditional elements (the diamond panes) and the roof evokes cottage, I'm going to lay out a more cottagey lodge approach for your colors.

OK - If you are set on a white house - the key is to paint that block foundation / lower level masonry in a mid tone gray so it visually is "heavier" . . right now it being lighter than what is above is not helping you. Charcoal trim and white house could benefit from a green or yellow front door but the pink brick proximity means you will want to test colors before you leap. I'm guessing you think you like the white cottage look . .let's see if we can get it for you. If you do trim and railings and add fat trim around all your exterior window openings .. try bm steel wool for trim and bm shaker gray on the foundation .. on the carport - do it all in the trim color so it hides in plain sight . . and then grow vines on it . .

a yellow enough green to work against gray .. a cheerful happy color - of course, you can try for a pinky red to work with the pink brick but that is a little trickier . . you can go to a paler gray door .. . bm silent night would work or a black front door would be very crisp and classic.

Test these colors on boards you can move around the house - look at them in full light / shadow, am light , pm light .. .note how they look against the pink brick chimney with the warm gray flash bricks ..

I like the warm color the house is currently, it seamlessly blends with the environment which is key. If you are hellbent on changing the color I would go with a natural hue like a grayed green or driftwood.

Driftwood would be like a mid tone warm gray . . something like bm Chelsea gray . . but I think for your situation you would want to warm that up to a greige ..

I can look and bring you back a few to test - try bm thunder and bm Baltic gray .. Thunder will be a beautiful light shade on an exterior, where Baltic Gray will approximate the look of thunder when used outside .. .
