That's so unfortunate and I hate to hear it. I've only had nematodes one time on one plant and I think it was a purchased plant. I was worried they'd infest the soil and stick around, but they didn't. I don't remember what variety it was.

You know, a cover crop of cereal rye, like Elbon Rye, grown in rotation in the tomato beds, ought to help take care of the nematode problem, if you want to give that a try.

Its sad to hear this, oldokie. These stories make me glad they create hybrids. I hope you can button up or isolate the problem over time. I'd like to think that I know a good healthy organic soil will fight them off, but I don't want to find out from experience.
