Hi Joseph, Boston Fern plants need indirect sunlight and high humidity ( if you don't already I'd spray the leaves a few times a week with water to keep humidity). Or you can fill a tray with rocks, place your pot on it, and fill the tray halfway up the rocks with water.

If your plant is by a south facing window, the leaves will burn up and turn brown. Like said, they only need indirect sunlight!

Another reason your plant may be dying is that it needs the soil to stay moist. So water regularly of you don't already.

If you want to repot your Boston Fern, I would use this recipe for soil:

50% peat moss

15% bark marketed for Plants

25% pearlite

You should be able to find these at your local hardware or plant supply store.

Thanks for the advice, but is there a ceratain way to clean all of the dirt off of the roots, because I have been told to repot plants several times, And it has never ended up well.

BTW it's in a small bathroom with an east facing window, I have a Norfolk pine in there with it, a small humidifier, and I spray both weekly with water. So it's probably soil.
