2 bed 1 Bath Condo remodel - Is a tub necessary?

I'm starting plan for a bathroom remodel for our 2 bed 1 bath condo in SF. The bathroom is a quite small and I was thinking that getting rid of the bath and opting for a large shower would be better use of space. My husband and I don't plan on living there forever though and want to make sure we take re-sell into account. Is it okay to have a condo without a tub?
