I like the room the way it is. Maybe just add some greenery on the table--3 pots of something? Some kind of green plants with spikes. Put some orange pillows on the sectional.

End tables and lamps would make it look like a room that gets used. I like it and it is not drab at all.

You need to lighten up! Room is very strong, quite a statement. I love your large piece of art, would not add anything to the walls except ceiling to floor drapery panels. This will soften and bring some lightness to the room. Also, bring some life to your sofa, add pillows, end tables in metal finish to help bounce light around the room. Table lamps. Using an overhead ceiling light with out ambient lighting just zaps the life out of a room.

You need some "live" elements...living plants and some wood. A wood tray on coffee table with a vase, candles, whatever. A throw pillow or two on the sectional. I would look for texture not necessarily color. Lovely room. Do agree the tv is too high.

Perhaps try adding some teal and orange accent pillows to the couch? Then add in some gold and silver pieces (lamps and end tables) like you see in the second photo.
