Jem from what site did you order it? They say the best Neem to use in the 'Cold Press' because of it's unfiltered purities..Much of it comes from India..That one looks ok to me as long as it is cold pressed...

Neem oil produced in this way contains low aflatoxin content , when compared to other bulk neem oil available in the market produced without any batch control. Also the extraction is done without heat, chemicals, or petrochemicals solvents. The resulting oil thus retains all of necessary biochemical compounds which would otherwise be lost. Pure cold pressed neem is thus a pure oil without any stabilizers, emulsifiers or additives.

And, after warming mine up, it actually darkens....

That's what my neem (from Dyna-Gro) looks like at room temp(thick or almost solid), I just warm it up under hot running water for a few minutes and it thins out. Its still that color when melted though. I find it easier to mix with water if the water is warm when I do it. I also don't care for them smell of it but as long as it helps my plants out my nose will have to suffer.

What I do is stick the bottle in a bowl of hot water or run the faucet on it for a few seconds until I can vigorously shake it and pour it out..I have been using the Dyna-Gro for years..Great stuff.
