kitchen layout options.. double oven next to cornerzybk sink?

hi i have2 basic options for my approx 16.5 x 10 kitchen. attached are two plans labeled A and B. a few requirements are the double oven and two sinks.. also want2 dishwashers and 2 microwaves. in option A i like that the kitchen is more open along the longer wall. however im wondering if the double oven right next to the corner sink is a problem.. i also like that the fridge is closer to e. i. k. and dining room. option B separates the ovens from the sink but then i have the fridge and wall oven 'blocking' the openness of the kitchen.. also in option B we have triangle work area.(the counter with the small island will be more heavily used)

the ovens (which i already have) are 2 separate units so they technically can be and both put under counters if necessary.. any options or ideas? or which layout is better..?

Probably a kosher kitchen, although I'm surprised only one stove. Not as rare as you think, Meyer.

You didn't include a floorplan for Plan B, so I can't really tell where the sinks and stuff are. But I'd sure hate to have those corner sinks each closed in by a large looming bank of appliances on one side, like you have in Plan A. The fact that the more frequently used side has no landing at all on the right would be a deal-breaker for me -- if you had a couple of pans drying on the counter, you wouldn't have any elbow room at all! And both dishwashers are so close to their sinks that there's no room to stand to load them, really.

Anyway, attach the overhead of Plan B down here in the comments, if you can. But those are my first thoughts based on what you have already posted.

We are fascinated as to why you require 2 of everything in your kitchen - is this to work as a catering kitchen or other commercial application? The layout in A certainly seems more open, however it doesn't look as though all the requirements are met. Are there 2 dishwashers and 2 microwaves within the plan? Have you considered microwave drawers? There are split dishwasher drawers as well; obviously the size is geared toward your intended use. If two people will be working at once, it may be helpful to have the appliance wall (with the fridge) in the center of the kitchen, as Option B shows. Very interesting project!

I'd be hitting my right arm on the double oven all the time...move the sink over?

We've done back to back kitchens, just not in this amount of space. Two set ups with limited work-space in this kitchen would make it more difficult to eliminate cross contamination.

yes its for a kosher kitchen (not commercial) - [desont really require 2 stoves] . i dont have an overhead view of option B but i included another picture of the 2 sinks.. they can both be in opposite corners (because i hear your point about no elbow room on right side) - i also like the point of no place to dry a few dishes on right side so thats another reason to put both sinks in corners...

worse comes to worse well only have one microwave.. not the end of the world.. those drawers seems pretty expensive

two people do not need to be working at once...

i also like the point about keeping dishwashers a drop away from sink to be able to load them.....

we can put the ovens (which both are single units) under the counters as well.. and they dont have to be next to each other ..

that would free up counter space, but now much less cabinet space - especially if i have 2 oven and 2 dishwashers under the counters...... am i being unrealistic? with 2 ovens and dishwashers in the space i have? or is there enough cabinets on top to make up for that loss

We agree, the stacked double oven would be better than taking up valuable cabinet real estate. It sounds like Option A is your winner; it has more open layout that you like, and you can certainly make that work with the two corner sinks!
