Color and wall decor

We just bought a house I don't really know what kind of house this is called. I want to all a beautiful painting or wall decor but I'm not sure how big it should be. And I think my accent wall is too dark and I have a difficult time picking out other colors that will go with this color

instead of showing the listing photos where they are elongated and distorted, just post current pics with your furnishings. I assume the overhead shot is yours?

as for the green accent wall, what colors do you want? There is literally nothing there but a dark table. do you have any art you like that is go up? what style do you like?

Well well I haven't put up any art yet because I was going to re paint the was the same color they are now. I like contemporary with a modern flair. I love warm beiges
