Depends a lot on how high an elevation, but even at the 1700ft elevation on Maui I got corn to grow through the winter, and beans. But here in Nanakuli where I have gardened in the last 6 years I grow Kai Choi, Gai Lan, eggplant, tomato, beans, and only in the winter: peas. Strawberries do well here, and are just beginning to fruit. green onions grow through the winter, and of course, the main course now it seems throughout the US, Kale. Collards do as well or better than Kale throughout the year. Mustards besides Kai Choi would do well.

I'm at 1500 feet, about halfway between Hilo and Volcano. Tomatoes usually go dormant in the greenhouse, then may resume production in the spring.

Greens usually do well in the greenhouse, too; it's mostly to keep the rain off, more than to keep things warm.

Strawberries are slug magnets, and we have rat lungworm here, so I stopped growing the red jewels.
