That is EXACTLY where/what I am leaning toward... I like their semi sheer... I'm kind of thinking this (photo) -when completely closed it would be a wall with pattern hinting from behind (vs those with horizontal lines making the blind and creating a large and small tic-tac-toe) and yet provide full privacy...

@cmkoe - Do you have an example pic of the Woven woods? I googled it and it seems the fancy interweb has little for images ;-) Other then the sheer, I was leaning towards possibly a bamboo sort of blind and I think in my hunt (I had a pc crash so lost all saved links) but I thought I had come across a bamboo type blind that also had what appeared to be a sort of sheer material it was housed in (I really do not know how to describe this, lol, sorry) but when closed it appeared a blind, when open it was a blind with sheer in between the slats... I love the sheer, but I'm not sure I want a white, and worried about any color, too (unless you get cheap blinds, it's like buying a couch - ya want the furniture to fit the space...and only pay once... (it's funny three years ago, I loved the wood and had no issue in deciding)...

I would use custom Roman shades in a beautiful fabric that will look pretty when they are lowered at night.
