Trop, i know what you are saying but there are a lot of newby's that get confuse with too much info thrown at them. Old timers can improve with the next level of lighting tech and more info of availability of new stuff on the market. They been there.

Bob. I have to agree with you regarding newbies getting confused. I, like many, started with a bunch of T-8s and eventually tried most forms of lighting. I agree that weed growers have a much larger budget and usually a much smaller grow area. It will not be feasible for me to achieve that for my plants. It would probably require $10K or more in lights alone. What I find illuminating (there is a pun in there I think) is to understand what plants really need to thrive in artificial light. I think the weed growers have found the sweet spot between us and the NASA scientists.
