My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Favorite tool

Since we are all so bored and tired of winter before it's even arrived I thought I might start a thread about what favorite tools we use in our hobby it'll give us something to talk about AND for newbies like me we can pick up some good ideas

So, first of all I've been wanting to get a sucker plucker I thought it looked familiar so I looked at clay sculpting tools on Amazon. Lo and behold! Look what I found for $4.89! I will be plucking suckers into perpetuity!

My other favorite tool is this extra large condiment bottle that I got from a restaurant supply store great for little squirts of water directly to the soil when needed. Good control.

Thirdly, my old goldfish tank supplies me with room temp, conditioned and fertilized water whenever I need it for my aforementioned squirt bottle The creepy hand is mine.

Last but not least, my sharp and pointy tweezers from Harbor Freight snip blossoms off like a pair of scissors and can get into spots where my clumsy fingers can't.

And.....just because, here's my little collection ..... AGAIN!

Hopefully this time isn't too corny or hasn't been covered recently. Those are my favorites at the moment. Hopefully you'll have some to share that we can all benefit from.

    Your wicking trays turned out nice, Ken! Your plants are lookin' good and happy.

    I'll never forget how Rosie laughed at me and my "sucker plucker" - and told me she had tons of tools like that...in with her ceramics hobby stuff! Who knew? (Certainly not me!) But hey, it works like a charm and I wouldn't be without one. (I just know where to buy one cheaper now!)

    Your condiment bottle is a good idea. I have a tattoo wash bottle that I like because it has a bent spout that makes it easy to get in between or underneath leaves. Same idea, though, a squeeze bottle is great because a watering can won't always cut it.

    Tweezers, now that's something I keep looking at. I saw someone using a large pair with bent nose tips and that's what I want but so far haven't found any like that to purchase, but I'm still keeping an eye out for the perfect pair.

    The only thing I'd add to your list might be a soft make-up brush, perfect for cleaning off perlite and soil from AV fuzzy leaves. :-)
