I’m not quite sure where to place this question! There isn’t a leather forum.

I have a black leather purse that is a favorite. One of the panels has faded. It is actually the texture that is the problem. This panel is more textured than the others, and now appears lighter than the others. The panel is only about 3 inches square.

I thought I could paint it to match but obviously the paint needs to stay flexible. So, craft paint would probably dry too stiffly. For the size of it, ordering some leather dye is probably not worth the effort.

Would black fabric paint work on leather? I have never used fabric paint, but I assume it must stay flexible. If so, is this something I can buy at a craft store? Thanks.
