Lets "show off" folks!

It's been ages since I've been here also, but maybe if we all put this page in our favorites list so we can access it readily it might not be so hard! We've all done MANY things with our junk in the past few years, so lets start posting. I'll start......

My daughter and her boyfriend are looking forward to their first house so they can have a music room. Made this out of corks that I saved.

Glad you told us corks, I thought at 1st it was chenille stems curled with a tool, yrs ago I made purple & lavender grapes with green velvety leaves magnets for fridge & they sold like crazy, Everybody loved the purple, chenille stems are not as plush any more so probably wouldn't work. Love this & what is backing & how many corks? I don't drink & don't have enough corks for even a trivet but this is really fun idea! Bet they were thrilled!

Depending on where you live, you can go into wineries and ask for corks. The backing is just a shelf board from Home Depot. I glued them together first, then glued them to the board. I tried different glues. Gorilla glue makes one that seems to work pretty good.

Let you family, friends know you're saving corks. Stop at a couple of bars and ask them to save them for you. You'd be surprised at how many corks they go through!

Love this, don't know anyone who would have corks, and no wineries here either. I will have to figure out something else to use. Maybe spray paint water or soda bottle caps!?!

I just saw a heart of corks standing on end & then they put a small of string lights around the bottom & up the sides, looked nice. About 15 in across I'm guessing.
