I bought my first house in Orange County, CA a year ago. There are many things about the house ( build in 1976) I'd like to change, but i have no idea where to start, and i am afraid of making a change that i later have to redo.
For example, i really hate the old inefficient aluminum windows and would like to get them replaced with vinyl asap, but it would suck to say during kitchen remodel i would have to make changes to kitchen window size, style, etc.
Ideally, i like some professional to give me a plan/scatch of my ideal house which i can get done in phases as time and money permits.

Questions:
1. What kind of pro can do this for me?
2. What kind of pro can give me ideas for an external face lift, as that's something i like to do asap, and then start on interior phase? Is it the same as pro in question 1?

I'm attaching a picture of the exterior with ugly colors and landscaping which I'd like to change.
