I bought a historic row home over a year ago and have been renovating it from top to bottom with the help of houzz! With summer fast approaching, it's time tackle my only outdoor space - the rooftop. I need help figuring out how much space I need and how to incorporate the elements I want into the rooftop deck layout. I am limited by the width of the home and can have a max width of 12'. The length of the deck maxes out at 24' because of an AC unit on the roof. There are two functional spaces that I absolutely want - a lounge seating area to accomodate friends and family and an area to enjoy the sun with at least 2 chaise lounges. If I can fit a third functional area into the 12'x24' I'd like to add a propane fire pit feature but I'm not sure the long skinny space can accomodate a third space without impeding the flow. That's where I'd love some help from the houzz users! I've attached the pictures from houzz that inspired my design so far and have drawn very rough layout of what I have in mind. I'd appreciate feedback and ideas for making the layout more functional and fun!
