Ceiling Color

Long story short-ish our walls and ceilings are the same color and I'm debating on painting the ceilings white throughout the house. Currently the walls are a tan that isn't terrible but definitely isn't my first choice. The new color will be SW Accessible Beige which is a good greige that leans more tan than gray which will go better with our carpet upstairs. Our trim is SW Shell White which is a really pretty creamy white.
Here's the problem. SW Ceiling Bright White was the color I planned to go with but it's too stark next to the creamy white trim. Soooooo should I just keep the ceilings the same as the walls when I repaint since it'll still be neutral or could I maybe paint the ceilings SW Shell White in flat? We have already repainted the formal dining and living rooms in other colors and painted the coffered ceilings in those rooms the trim color because I felt like it worked. To further the dilemma we plan to paint some rooms in the house other non-neutral colors so I feel like those rooms would need white ceilings. I'm basically trying to figure out what ceiling color will be best overall and if we keep walls and ceilings the same color in the neutral spaces would it be weird to paint the ceilings in the non-neutral rooms a shade of white? I hope that long stream of questions makes sense. Also, the ceilings throughout the house range from 9' to 22'. I don't know if that matters to anyone but I thought I'd add it just in case. Below I'm posting a pic of the kitchen where you can see the ceiling and swatches of the current trim and new paint color. Thank you sooooo much for your help!!
