I think I already know the fungus that produces these stains on leaves of Germanic Iris. They are produced by Heterosporium gracile (Davidiella macrospora)

Commonly known as iris leaf spot. Unsightly but not fatal. Some years not a bit and other years as above. For those willing to combat it, fungicide spraying per directions at first sight of it. Innoculates to limit spreading.
