I agree Evergreen is amazing. I wasn't sure about an all green flower making a statement, but this one surely does!

Evergreen is unique, it's one of my favorites too, but my bulb weakens year after year, it never gave any offset either. Do yours age well?

Now that I think about it I do seem to be buying a new Evergreen every few years as well as Chico which I can't seem to grow on well. Oh well, both are worth the expense as they are so beautiful, I wouldn't be without either for too long!

Congratulations Sue! It is very elegance! I love green flowers! My Evergreen blossomed immediately after purchase and now it's been 3 years it just ignores me))

This is an interesting question, Béatrice and Donna! I lost my first Evergreen after it flowered but bought a new one last year. It grew well over the summer and shows the tips of two buds but it doesn't move anymore since two month. I have it near the window but in an unheated room. I hope it will go on when temperatures get higher. Thats how I keep almost all my Hippis during winter and they seem to like it. Some lose their leaves (Evergreen did completely) some keep them. Last year they started to rebloom in spring but this year quite a few already started to send up buds in November. Of course they are growing very slow and I hope they will all flower! I'm not sure if the low temperatures (10-15°C/50-60°F, sometimes even a bit cooler) could destroy the flowers? But why they would develop scapes then?

For me Tosca is a variety that doesn't grow well and is shrinking. I actually hope that it won't rebloom this year but recover!

you could always slice/chip the basal plate and make it offset … still a couple years from blooming, but then you might have a 'rotation'
