Favorite nut tree zone 4/5

I know this is a fruit forum but nut trees seem to make sense here. I'm zone 4 (almost 5) aND have about 0.5 acers of land to plant fruit and or nut trees. I already have several cherry varieties and types of fruiting bushes on my yard. I am thinking pear, plum, apple, apppricot and maybe a couple peaches. Are there any nut trees worth growing in my zone or should I stick with more fruit trees? I've read mixed reviews on hazelnut, chestnut and shaggy hickory. Anyone have luck with these or anything else?
