Rob, on your new find, is that a particular kind? I like that kind of branching! and i like a thicker more stout caudex.

eeyore - There happened to be an employee doing some maintenance nearby, and I asked her the same question. She said this latest batch came in w/ no tags, and they're usually very good about labeling them.

Although, most of the time they're just labeled "Adenium obesum", or "Desert Rose".

Mine clearly, is NOT an obesum.

This could very well be 'obesum' or if not at least a 'obesum X'. This type of growth w many terminal branches can be indicative to 'obesum' growth as well.

Other sub-species could very well attribute something to this appearance.

Not to be argumentative, but more curious?

I agree with Rick. Don't rule out 'obesum' or a cross. In any case, that's a neat little "Medusa". ;-)

Martin & Rick - Like with that other large "obesum" I bought from them...

Martin suggested it might be a "Hybrid"; which makes sense to me, and from that point on; I've labeled it as "Hybrid obesum". I guess to me (and I'm no expert), such caudex branching doesn't say obesum to me.

BTW Rick - The swazicums are coming along nicely (fuzzy). Just finished transplanting them time #2.

This one I pruned the caudex; and put a piece of plastic under it.

Well... After some not so careful thought, "Medusa" it is!!!
