Plant Heating Pad?

I was thinking about purchasing a seedling heating pad. I have a flat of amaryllis seedlings growing in the house near a big window and I was thinking about purchasing a heating pad for them to see if I could get them to grow faster. My house is always in the 68 to 75 degree temperature and near a big window. Would it be worth me getting a heating pad for them to see if the bulbs grow faster? Plus I was thinking about putting a plant light i bought from walmart above them to stay on all the time.... thoughts?

I use a normal LED, not a specific grow light: Phillips CorePro LED, 15W. I read that I would need special grow lights but a friend told me that he is using these bulbs and I thought I give it a try. They are much cheaper and my seedlings seem to love it. I switch them on when I get up in the morning and off at night when I go to bed. I recently bought a timer but I still didn't install it...

This isn't professional at all, I know, but space is limited. They are sitting on a shelf in our living room and we switch the lights off when they annoy us.

I had mine on a heating pad near a window in a cool room last winter but it didn't seem to change much. Then I put them under grow lights (without the heating pad) and they started to grow. I think light is the limiting factor at least in my growing conditions. The heating pad seems to stimulate only root growth.

Do you not think it would make the bulb bigger?

Just try it. But I think you should rather use the plant light. I have mine at lower temperatures and they grow well. I already have a bud on a seedling I planted in spring 2015. The size of the bulbs depends on its genes and on fertilization I think.
