Cattleya walkeriana

I am still learning how to bloom walkeriana. I had bud blast the first year. It did not try to bloom the next year. This year I finally got one flower. It is improvement but I clearly have a lot of work on this species.

It is possible it needs more of a rest than I give it. Recommendations are welcome.

Not so, the primary hybrid between Cattleya intermedia and walkeriana, Cattleya Walkerinter grows like a weed in the same conditions. Perhaps clues in the Climate descriptions for Southern Brazil.

I have one in bloom too. I can't take much credit as the inflorescence had just begun growing when I brought it home and I managed not to kill it. From where I sit, you are an orchid genius! Congrats :)
