Had a few seedlings that I didnt have any plans for. So I experimented on cutting the main stem as I have never done before. Also chopped the bottom of one of the seedlings flat as it started to rot in the water I was keeping it in. This was also my first time in cutting the bottom completely flat.

You can see the root rot developing on the above picture. Thats when I decided to try chopping the bottom completely off and try to encourage roots to grow on the outisde like a skirt.

Took this last picture this morning after two starting this two weeks ago. If you look closely you can see two stems starting to form from the main stem. The caudex is still plump and firm.

Found some rott this evening. Cut away the bad parts and replaced it onto the dirt tray. Have been misting a lot to make up for the lack of roots. Will cut back on watering and placed the stump outside to encourage faster drying and receive more sun.

The other two are doing great as they still have most of their root structures. They have at least four stems starting to develop at the cut.
