Yes Brenda thanks for that feedback, I am actually thinking of taking it down all together and replacing with something that fits the room better. :)

I love the rug! I think you just need to pull it away (just a little bit) from the wall unit/console opposite the couch by pulling more of the rug under the sofa.

For me, I'd like a little splash of color red. I would purchase a wall art with red in it. Do a red throw and pillows for the couch.

mfurst, Ditto on pulling the rug over a bit. the center line of larger part of the pattern should probably be centered on the middle of your window, for best effect, if possible. I also think you should keep your artwork ... simply lower it, as suggested ... The pattern in that decorative wall plaque actually goes very well with that of the rug. I would have thought that you had bought it to echo the rug pattern .. happy coincidence ! I like your room.
