Very sorry to say it is a goner. I know it has special meaning. After freezing and then in water retention soil. Odds are against it. Try to keep dry and in bright light. The water storied in it's leaves have been frozen and has cell damage. Rot is next in line. It looks to be a leaf cutting with new growths coming up from it.

No, it's been through enough already. Leave it dry and warm in bright light, not full sun. If it dies, I can send you some come spring for postage. As long as your in the US.

Also be sure it is not sitting in water. Perhaps there is a drain hole in the bottom of that black plastic pot? We know how much that plant must mean to you. Keep us posted, please. Light from a window, but not direct sunlight, and temps no lower than about 68 will help. We will be thinking positive thoughts for you.

What makes you say the container drains really well?

Pls. share how you know that, 'cause from here it looks like there are wet & dry pockets in that soil, suggesting otherwise; so I'd be skeptical w/ that peaty looking mix.

I only poured a half cup of water in and about a fourth of it came out the bottom. My camera is bad, but the soil is actually very grainy/gritty. More so than the soil I have my other succulents in. It's almost dry now. I'll just leave it dry until I see signs of improvement for a couple weeks...If it gets better.

Clsanders, You may have to mist with water instead of giving it water. Maybe after a few weeks. Just a tiny bit to keep the leaves from fully drying out. With luck, you might be able to save a little bit and regrow it.

Pardon me guys, not wishing to be rude, but looks from here, pretty clearly to me the crown is rotting. The leaves are shot & their connection to the center is barely there. The last thing it needs is misting, yikes!

I agree mostly with you Karen. It has reached a condition of nothing to loose. It can't take up water and shows signs of dehydration (due to frost damage no doubt). It will die with out water or rot with it. That's why I said in a week or so (lightly). Odds are against it, so you are right in a way. Leaves are so weak that I don't believe it can be cut off and tried to root on their own.

I hate to give new growers false hope. If it were mine, I'd toss it.

It still hasn't changed. No improvement or decline. I guess thats a good sign? Four years ago I had rot issues with my first few succulents and they died within days of noticing the issue. I'm surprised this one is still alive. The only thing I noticed is the main big leaf feels soft and firm, definitly not mushy, compared to the hard core it had last week. Is that improvement?! I VERY LIGHTLY misted it today. I promise I won't do anything else for a week or so and absolutely no watering!
