We have all hard floors, just got a Miele C3 Calima, the parquet twister it comes with works great.

I, too, have all hardwood flooring with a Miele canister model and one of the "Parquet Twister" tools. I have a C2 model (the lighter and more compact version of the C3 models). Got it in part because I was not keeping up with sweeping and my Hoover bagless Windtunnel upright was not so convenient for toe kicks. The Miele is more convenient and does a much better job on hardwood. Far and away the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. You might also want to check out the Tacony corp. brands (Simplicity and Riccar) which have similar canisters.

Some folks are happy with other brands. Have you seen the other two currently running vacuum cleaner threads here?

Are you referring to the toe kick outlets that come with central vacuum systems? We have one in our kitchen island and seldom use it because we find pulling out the "hide a hose" is much more efficient and quicker. We have a Miele canister from our old house and if you're looking for a canister vacuum that does it all - the Miele fits the bill. We have the Cat and Dog canister (it's white) and comes with a very nice powerhead and the parquet twister tool. We ended up going with central vac in our current house because we got tired of dragging the canister behind us.

If you're just looking for a toe kick vacuum I believe you can get something called the Vroom solo that can be installed in your kitchen cabinet. We've been toying with this idea for our beach house because we don't want to do the full system. I've also seen something called the Eye Vac that you can buy off Amazon. It works like a Toe Kick vac but it's self contained and kind of looks like a trash can. Not sure how aesthetically pleasing that would be in your kitchen.

We do have a Dyson stick vac at the beach and it does a great job on the wood floors as well as a Neato Botvac we let loose around our home from time to time.
