Have you tried looking in thrift stores, second hand stores, even garage sales. I know the feeling. I have 2 Rival crock pots that I received as wedding gifts back in 1981. A large round one with removable bowl and a smaller upright one with non-removable bowl. They are still being used weekly and still going strong. They don't make them like that anymore! A few years ago my husband purchased a large Cuisinart digital slow cooker with all the bells and whistles. It does a fine job of cooking, easy clean up, but I still prefer my old ones.

Difference between 6.5 quarts and 6 quarts is only 2 cups. Your dying pot is over a gallon and a half already.
