How and where does the landing and the whole steel stairs get support from?

Thanks for your question - it's a good one as we spent a lot of time figuring it out.

We really wanted the stair landing to 'float' in the corner window as one overlooks the garden. The landing is supported by a tapered steel 'T' supported by a 3"x3" tube steel column. The stair does not touch the window, the wall, or the steel screen. The continuous steel channel that wraps all of the way around the stair provides good stiffness although if a really big person stands on the landing and jumps around it will vibrate a little bit.

    Hope that helps.
