Growing from Seed

Grow light set ups

Anyone have suggestions for home growlight setups? Not horribly expensive. Adjustable so I can fit larger plants under light as well as seedlings. I am used a shaky IKEA shelving unit last year - but would like something stronger. Squarer.

I am having the beginnings of seed starting cravings here in chilly Maine. Days are getting incrementally longer, kaffir lime has sent out a big flush of new growth, Thai pepper has started flowering, Amaryllis has 4 stems of blooms...

I am most interested in flowers but for the most part grow veggies. Peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, leeks, greens...

Forgot to mention, check out Muscle Rack brand shelving units. They work great for us in the GH with 2 fixtures per shelf.

I have two four-shelf plant stands adapted from kitchen shelving sold by the Container Store:

http://www.containerstore.com/s/shelving/intermetro/best-selling-intermetro-solutions/intermetro-kitchen-shelves/123d?productId=10005342&country=US&currency=USD&utm_source=tcscompshop&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=google&cid=cse:PLA

Very sturdy. Not so easily adjustable in height once they're loaded with plants.
